Test of the 3D Printed Parts

Today (Nov. 22), we performed a strength test of the 3D printed parts that have been provided by Markforged company, one of our valued sponsors. Since those parts were printed using the carbon fiber, they are much stronger than usual 3D printed parts using resin only and much lighter than aluminum parts just like the resin parts. We switched the original parts that were made by metal or only resin with the parts provided by Markforged to test their capability. The robot worked beautifully with those new parts. It was the day that we were convinced that we can procure the parts more easily in the building season. We are sure that the parts printed by Markforged 3D printer will help us building a much tougher and resilient robot.
